How Does Mobile Window Tinting Work?
How does mobile window tinting work?
With mobile window tinting, the installer comes to your home or office with the film and tools and tints your car right there. You book a time, park the car, and keep working. A full car usually takes about one hour, and you never have to drive to a shop or wait in a lobby.
Step by step: what happens on the day
- You book a time. Send your car's year, make and model and pick the film. You get a quote before anything is scheduled.
- We arrive at your location. Your driveway, apartment lot, condo garage or office parking lot.
- Clean and prep. The glass is cleaned and the film is cut to fit each window.
- Install. The film is applied to the inside of the glass with a slip solution and the water is squeezed out.
- Final check. We check every edge and give you the care instructions. Keep the windows up for 3 to 5 days while the tint cures.
What do I need for mobile tint?
- One parking space where we can open the doors.
- Shade or a garage helps, but is not required. We work around Miami weather.
- About an hour. You do not need to stay with the car.
- Permission from your building or office lot if they have rules.
Is mobile tint as good as a shop?
Yes, when the installer is experienced and uses quality film. The film, the tools and the technique are the same. What changes is the location. At Miami Auto Tinting, the owner has 28 years of experience and installs 3M, SunTek and Uviron films. We use 60-inch rolls, so windshields can be done in one piece with no seam.
Can you tint at my office or apartment?
Yes. Most of our jobs are at offices and homes. Office parks in places like Doral, condo garages in Miami Beach and driveways in South Miami all work. We can also tint several company vehicles in one visit.
What about rain?
Film is installed on the inside of the glass, so light rain is usually not a problem if the car is under cover. In heavy storms we reschedule or move to a garage. After install, rain does not hurt the film, but keep the windows up until it cures. Read how long tint takes to cure in Miami.
Does mobile tint cost more?
It depends on the vehicle and the film, not the location. Send the year, make and model and you get an exact quote the same day.
